Description Sojourn guided by Maria Baltazzi

Two contrasting resorts and a luxury cruise across the Maldives is the perfect way to unwind, reconnect with nature and remind yourselves of the joys of living. Four Seasons Kuda Huraa offers you a refined, sophisticated Maldives, the Four Seasons Explorer takes you across unchartered waters to find hidden gems of the sea and ultra-Barefoot Six Senses Laamu shows off the essence of the Maldives in its stripped back setting.

Itinerary Varies based on your desires

  • Nights 1 - 3 Arrival

Arriving in the Maldives for the first time is an experience unto itself. The airport sits on its own island, and the runway stretches along the ocean. You get to see the famous turquoise blue rings of the atolls as your flight comes into land. Once your plane sets down, our team will be on hand to take care of immigration and luggage before taking you to your speedboat and off to Four Seasons Kuda Huraa.
  • Nights 4 - 6 Four Seasons Explorer

In the afternoon, Four Seasons Explorer will be ready for you to board for a three-night northward cruise to Baa Atoll. Embarking on Mondays, depending on the waters and weather, this cruise from Kuda Huraa to Landaa Giraavaru can include dive sites such as the soft coral ceilings of Fares Caves, the stingray and nudibranch haven of Emboodhoo Cove, and the colorful canyons of Muthaafushi Thila. Plus, Thulaadhoo lacquerware island. Each cruise is purposefully fluid, ensuring the best of the Maldives at any given moment – from chance mid-ocean encounters with huge pods of pilot whales to castaway experiences on remote coral islands.

  • Nights 7 - 9 Six Senses Laamu

You will disembark Four Seasons Explorer after breakfast. You will then get a seaplane transfer back to Male airport where you will hop onto a wheeled-aircraft to go to Laamu Atoll. Once you arrive at Laamu atoll domestic airport, you will be received by the lovely staff of Six Senses Laamu who will take you away on a speedboat to the resort. We understand that today involves a bit of travel and can be quiet tiring. We will do everything to make sure it is as seamless as possible.

Four Seasons Kuda

Gently rising from a sheet of turquoise, at Kuda Huraa it is hard to tell where the ocean ends and sky begins. As captivating beneath the waves as above them, the resort embraces the stunning surroundings, to bring you closer to the sea and its secrets. You will be spending four beautiful nights here. Four Seasons Kuda Hura is located only a twenty-five-minute speedboat ride away from the airport. It is a family-friendly resort on a small island and where ultimate luxury and Maldivian hospitality can be found. Like all Four Seasons hotels, they take pride in providing the best service. Nothing is compromised when it comes to your wellbeing. Together, we strive to bring together all the elements for your perfect holiday. You have a choice of six food and beverage outlets. Enjoy fresh seafood at the Kandu Grill or taste the Indian flavors at the Keralan restaurant Baraabaru.

Four Seasons Explorer

Why We Love Four Season Explorer
It is an exquisite way to experience the secrets of Maldives. I think this part of the world is one of the most picture-perfect destinations. Love the vistas changing every hour as you sail across the lagoons.
Your State Room
We have booked two State Rooms for you. Curl up on the sofa with a drink from your private bar after an exciting day or lie back on the bed and watch the stars twinkle over the ocean from your cabin’s large, port windows in your bright and airy State Rooms.
During Your Stay
The next three days are going to be exciting. If you want, you will get to enjoy windsurfing, water-skiing, snorkeling, and fishing. Sit down with the onboard marine biologists to have a chat about fish and your underwater excursion. Visit some local islands and meet the people of the Maldives and learn about their culture. You can expect to have three dives daily.

Six Senses Laamu

Your Villa
To change things up a bit, we thought you might ready for some beach time after three nights on the sea, we have in mind the two-bedroom Lagoon Beach Villa. This family hideaway features a private pool and private access to the beach, only a few meters away. For a unique panoramic view of the Maldivian nature, sapphire seascape and for catching an unforgettable colorful sunset, you can just climb on the treetop deck which features a comfortable seating and dining area, suitable for spending some quality time together.
During Your Stay
There is so much on offer at Six Senses Laamu. Though I have looked into some excursions that I think will make your trip a bit more special.
Maldivian Cooking Class
You cannot leave the Maldives without learning how to cook some delicious home food. Join the international culinary team, who will share their secrets on the cuisine. This will be another guided mindful experience, getting acquainted with the fresh ingredients that are used, their scent, texture, and taste. Step-by-step you will create your own dish and then savor eating it.
Meet the Manta Trust
The Maldivian Manta Ray Project was founded to learn more about the life-cycle, population dynamics and habitat usage of the Maldives manta population, while also working with the government, tour operators, tourists, and local communities to create greater awareness and protection for these graceful rays and their habitats. Sit down with Marine Biologists from the Trust and learn about these majestic underwater creatures.
Surfing
Being the only resort in this atoll our surfers have the break to themselves most of the time, it is the perfect place to learn how to surf. From the resort, you can see the impressive white spray of its most famous break in the atoll - the Yin Yang - which breaks on the outer reef of the local island Hithadhoo.
